Haryana’s Manohar Lal Khattar government is all set to give a big gift to the elderly. CM Khattar has announced that the old age pension for the elderly will be Rs 3,000 per month. He said that this decision will be implemented soon. Speaking at a public dialogue program organized by Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Khattar said that the pension amount will definitely increase. Also, it has been clarified that senior citizens above 60 years do not have to wander for pension.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that senior citizens of the state above 60 years of age need not worry about applying for pension. Instead, now the pension starts automatically through their family identity card. It is noteworthy that the BJP in its election manifesto had promised to increase the old age pension to Rs 3000 per month. The opposition is constantly cornering the Khattar government on this issue.
Pension increased from Rs.2750 to Rs.3000
In Haryana, the amount of pension received by the elderly has been increased from Rs 2,750 to Rs 3,000. This was announced by the Chief Minister in a public meeting. Lakhs of beneficiaries of the state will benefit from the increase in old age pay. Beneficiaries are very happy with the announcement to increase the pension amount by around 9 to 10 percent.
