CM Kanya Utthana Yojana:
This year (2023) two lakh 87 thousand 598 intermediate passed girl students have been given incentive money. Now more than two lakh 45 thousand female students are waiting for this amount. The education department is trying to give money to all these girl students. 25,000 under the Chief Minister Kanya Utthana Yojana will be given to all the unmarried girls who pass the intermediate.
According to the information from the department, the aim is to give 25 thousand rupees to more than 5 lakh 33 thousand unmarried girls who passed this year. So far 4 lakh 30 thousand girls have been registered in this regard. More than 24 thousand cases are pending at the office level of District Education Officers. 719 crore money has been paid into the bank account of these girls so far. The department is trying for more grants. The amount is expected to be settled in a few days.
Last year in 2022 this amount was to be given to 5 lakh 20 thousand 987 girls who passed intermediate. Out of this, a total of Rs 1098 crore has been allocated to the account of 4 lakh 40 thousand girls. At the same time, the payment of more than 81 thousand girls is pending and the department is taking action to complete it. Departmental officials say that the information is being received from the districts daily and the speed is increasing.
Note: This scheme is not a scheme of Karnataka Government, it is a scheme initiated by Government of Bihar. Later this project is also likely to be implemented in Karnataka.
